Chinese Energy Method: Quantum Leap into the Future by Patricia Duke, DN

A new energy technique is exploding our old notions of how we heal.  Called Chinese Energy Method, or Yuen Method for it creator, Dr. Kam Yuen,  this technique initiates healing of conditions that eluded other attempts at healing by medical doctors or alternative healers.  Chinese Energy Method clears health issues quickly, within minutes.  Miraculous?  Not really, and it is not faith healing either.

The Chinese Energy Method (CEM) technique is on the cutting edge of complementary health care.  Healing happens quickly, with no discomfort to the client and with deep and lasting results.  The heart of its success lies in the unique methods CEM practitioners employ.  Two elements are important to the success of a healing session: first, CEM practitioners use their own energy to sense the client’s energy.  Practitioners focus mentally on the client’s health issue, asking specific questions to pinpoint the precise cause of the client’s problem.  The practitioner can ask questions of the client’s body-mind because of the intelligence that permeates it.   Dr. Deepak Chopra talks about the intelligence of the body’s cells:

“Now we have arrived at the heart of the matter.  Mind by any definition is nonmaterial, yet it has devised a way to work in partnership with these complicated communicator molecules (neuropeptides).  Their association is so close, as we have seen, that mind cannot be projected into the body without such chemicals.  Yet these chemicals are not mind.  Or are they? … The mystery of mind-over-matter has not explained by biology, which prefers to push on to more and more complicated chemical structures operating at finer and finer levels of the physiology.  It is still obvious that no one is ever going to find a particle of matter or quanta of energy, however minute, that nature has labeled “intelligence.”  This is all the more apparent when we realize that all the matter in our bodies, large or small, has been designed with intelligence as a built-in feature.”1

Communicating with the client’s energy field is the first element in healing with CEM.  The second element for the success of this method is that the practitioner directs energy so that healing is focused at the quantum level.  At the quantum or atomic level, our solid world disappears into particles with huge spaces between them.  Space at the quantum level seems unbounded.  At this level, thought can affect the movement and velocity of the minute particles that populate this level of existence.  Dr. Chopra uses the analogy of magnets to explain the quantum level:

“Finding the silent gap that flashes in between our thoughts seems relatively easy, but because it flashes by, a tiny gap is not a doorway.  The quantum body is not separate from us – it is us – yet we are not experiencing it right now.  Sitting here, we are thinking, reading, talking, breathing, digesting and so on, all of which happens above the line.  Here is an analogy that brings the quantum mechanical body into focus: Take a bar magnet and place a piece of paper over it.  Next, sprinkle iron filings on the paper and jostle it slightly.  What will emerge is a pattern of curving lines, one inside the other, that arch from the magnet’s North to South Pole and back again. The overall design you have made represents a map of the magnetic lines of force that otherwise would be invisible, except that the iron particles automatically align themselves to bring out the image. In this analogy, we see all mind-body activity above the paper and the hidden field of intelligence below.  The iron filings moving around are mind-body activity, automatically aligning with the magnetic field, which is intelligence.  The field is completely invisible and unknowable until it shows its hand by moving some bits of matter around.  And the piece of paper?  It is the quantum mechanical body, a thin screen that shows exactly what patterns of intelligence are being manifested at the moment. 2

In this unbounded world at the atomic level that can be affected by thought, we can heal disease patterns and obstacles with our thoughts.  The change is instantaneous.  Aches and pains disappear.  Chronic problems clear up.   The CEM practitioner’s energetic attention is directed to the client’s own energy, which is accessed like an on/off switch.   Energetic correction and healing occur at a very deep, subtle level where thought can alter pathways -- this is the quantum level.

As the CEM practitioner makes energetic corrections at the quantum level, the client can feel her/his health problem resolve. Pain disappears; long-term loss of movement improves, all in moments.   One of the mistaken notions people carry around is that it will take days, weeks or months to clear up a health problem.  CEM turns that notion upside down.  It may clear physical, mental, emotional and spiritual issues quickly, with no return of symptoms.

To put this simply, Dr. Yuen says,

“The first step is to identify and correct any weakness then to identify and correct any relational weaknesses and finally, to confirm whatever manifests in the client’s physical body and correct any messages received from their nervous system to ensure proper bodily function.”3

To perform corrections, you do not have to know where the energy is coming from or how it can correct. You do not have to know what change is occurring when a correction is made. It is like putting a plug into an electrical outlet - you do not need to know what or where the energy comes from or how it works for it to work. We can use energy without any detailed knowledge. It truly is as simple as using an on-off electrical switch.4

Quantum Field and Thought

When we look around our world, all matter appears to be solid, substantial. This physics of matter that we can observe with our senses is generally called Newtonian physics, after Isaac Newton, the famed nineteenth-century physicist.  In the early twentieth century, Albert Einstein, Max Planck and a whole host of Europeans came along and upset the applecart with another kind of physics that operated at the atomic level, where molecules, atoms and parts of atoms seemed to operate on an entirely different set of physics principles….called quantum physics or quantum mechanics. The term quantum comes from quanta, the unit of light that can be converted back and forth from light energy to matter and back to light -- a very small amount of light and of matter to be sure!  In the universe known as quantum level, our solid Newtonian world disappears and is replaced with seemingly incomprehensible rules that would make no sense to us in the larger Newtonian perspective of observable moving objects that is our everyday life. Scientists speculate that everything -- everything – at the quantum level has dissolved into widely dispersed particles.    Vast distances exist between each particle, and the quantum level world appears to be mostly empty space with subatomic particles like neutrinos and mesons and leptons populating the empty space at irregular and unpredictable intervals, looking all the world like pure chaos.

At this invisible quantum-level universe in the body, let us see how CEM can help the healing process.  Working our way down from cells, then cell parts such as the cell nucleus and sub-nuclear structures, we finally reach the level of molecules and atoms, the quantum level.  We cannot see the particles of the quantum field, but we know they exist.  Because matter exists as particles at this level, it can be impacted by thought.  If a thought can move and change the direction of quantum particles, a thought can be directed at clearing a health problem.  The practitioner can help relieve a client’s health issue, say, neck pain, by clearing negative influences at the quantum level.   Physicist Fred Alan Wolf discusses the effect of the mind at this level:

“The gradual recognition that what we think may physically influence what we observe has led to a revolution in thought and philosophy, not to mention physics.  Quantum mechanics appears to describe a universal order that includes us in a very special way.  In fact, our minds may enter into nature in a way we had not imagined possible.  The thought that atoms may not exist without observers of atoms is, to me, a very exciting thought.  Could this fact concerning atoms also apply in other realms of science?  Perhaps much of what is taken to be real is mainly determined by thought.  Perhaps the appearance of the physical world is magical because the orderly processes of science fail to take the observer into account.  The order of the universe may be the order of our own minds.”5

Checking for the Source of the Problem

Practitioners go through several steps unique to CEM to locate the source of the client’s health problem.  First, they quiet their minds to assure that they are mentally neutral.  If they have any mental or emotional attachment to the answer, they might not get accurate readings.   They check for information about the client by sensing the primary source of the client’s problem.  By relying on what they are feeling, rather than thinking and analyzing, CEM practitioners can quickly connect with the client’s primary problem.  They begin asking a series of questions that elicit a strong/weak or yes/no response, to help them pinpoint the source of the client’s problem.  For example, they might ask questions such as, “Is this neck pain actually in the neck or some other part of the body?  Is the pain physical?  Is the pain mental?  Is it spiritual? “   Periodically, practitioners may check with the client regarding the level of pain in the neck by using a one-to-ten scale as a barometer.  (One is no pain, ten is excruciating.)

CEM practitioners focus on the central nervous system to make corrections.  Here is what Dr. Yuen says about these energetic corrections:

Your nervous system is similar to a computer, your own personal biocomputer.  Everything else – organs, glands, other body systems and components – are peripheral equipment.  By neurologically changing yourself (or your client), you can change how your biocomputer manages your body, how and what your body will tell your nervous system to do for it.  The nervous system is the most sensitive part of the body.  It is the easiest part of the body from which to elicit change.  Any change must be made through the central nervous system.6

The energetic correction does not require physical contact with the client.  CEM practitioners sit or stand behind the client and may move their hands slightly, or not at all, as they make energetic corrections.  They alternately ask questions and make corrections, occasionally asking the client for feedback regarding clearing of symptoms, level of pain, and so on.  Practitioners continue asking questions and clearing the energy blocks until the client reports that the pain or problem has ceased.

If the pain or problem persists after a session, it usually means that there are more issues underneath that need clearing.   In such situations, clients usually schedule another session for further work.

am Yuen and CEM

Dr. Kam Yuen is the creator of the CEM technique.  Internationally famous grandmaster of T’ai Mantis and Seven Star Praying Mantis kung fu, qigong and t’ai chi chuan, pa kua and qigong, Dr. Yuen opened what became the largest chain of t’ai mantis kung fu schools in Southern California in the 1970s.  As he won championship after championship his fame among martial artists spread around the world.  Producers of the television series, “Kung Fu” heard of the now famous Kam Yuen, and asked him to become the technical advisor of the hit series.

As Dr. Yuen continued in his celebrated role as a martial arts master, he decided that he would use for healing the energy he could easily manipulate for martial arts.  He began using his energetic techniques on friends and family, then completed Chiropractic College to gain a Western perspective on healing the human body.  As Dr. Yuen practiced his energy method on his clients, he developed a system that identified many different levels of the causes of health problems.  Over time, he perfected the techniques he and his practitioners utilize today to correct a wide range of health issues.

CEM is unlike any other alternative healing system, in that is focused, it works quickly and it clears the client’s problem down to the source.  CEM can correct physical, mental, spiritual, psychological and psychic issues in short order.  It heals clients quickly because the practitioner directs energy at the quantum level and asks as many questions as necessary to get to the source of the health issue.  Dr. Deepak Chopra has discussed the possibility of quantum healing in his book of the same name.  Thanks to the technology that Dr. Yuen has made available to us, quantum healing is now a reality.
