What is the Chinese Energetic Medicine?
Chinese Energetic Medicine (aka Chinese Energetic Method) is a unique healing methodology that taps into the vast potential of our mind, body and spirit to experience instantaneous change. It is based on a method of intervention and correction in the repetitive memory of energy.
When working, the practitioner is usually looking for the highest frequency of pain since it is through pain that our body image distorts and dysfunction and disease occur. The practitioner then locates, layer by layer the exact causes and origins of the pain whether it is mental, emotional, physical or spiritual.
Is it like Traditional Chinese Medicine?
No, since the practitioner does not diagnose nor prescribe supplements or medications. It is a non-invasive, non-touch energetic modality.
and, Yes, practitioners refer to the energetic meridians identified by TCM when they test weak.
How do you locate and correct something that is weak?
The practitioner feels and tests to locate where an energetic weakness exists. That is the training that a student/pracitioner recieves. A practitioner uses their own energy to feel the client's energy while focused on a particular pain or issue.
I notice you do something with your hands. What is that about?
One of the ways to test energetically is to use muscle testing to verify what is felt as weak or strong and to confirm a correction. The pracititioner could use the client's arm or fingers to test for weakness, or use their own energy to read the client's. That is done with the hands.
How is a correction made?
The practitioner's energy, or attention, communicates with the client's energetic systems which then register the correction like a switch being turned on or off.
How long will a correction last?
Some issues are resolved simply and the corrections are complete. Others have multiple causes and take longer to sift through and address all the contributing sources. It's not a perfect system, and the more precise the corrections are, the more lasting the results.
What will I notice after a treatment?
You may notice something immediately shifting or dissipating, like a pain that was there for a long time is no longer felt. This shifting may continue for 3 or 4 days after the treatment. You may even notice something has resolved several days later and not realize the connection to the treatment that opened up the ease that you now feel.
Why is it called Chinese Energetic Medicine?
As Dr. Yuen explains it: "Because, well ... I'm Chinese!"
